My Challenge as a Blogger

Thank God for the sunshine! Bloggers can now have an easy time during photo-shoots. It can be so frustrating when you have scheduled for a photo shoot and the weather changes drastically! You end up topping up photographer fee because they will be forced to use artificial lights for the pictures to come out clear.

It is quite costly being a blogger. My profession is Information Technology related, but designing a good layout for my blog was quite an uphill task.  As a blogger, you will have to outsource at some point. Personally, I have to sacrifice a lot in terms of money and time even though I don’t see a dime from my  blog, I believe that if I don’t make that sacrifice who will? If I don’t want to be used by God to impact someone’s life through writing who will? Before God asks you to do something He already has a well-organized plan on how resources are going to come through, if it weren’t for my day job, I would have been limited to do some things regarding the blog.

I do it all for His glory although it can be tempting to commercialize my blog and take it to a higher notch which I don’t think is bad at all – you should eat where you work right? 😉 But the aspect of losing focus is what is worrying. It is important for you to keep your faith at the center of your mission whether you are a singer, actor, athlete or a blogger.

It’s easy to get lost in the glamor of fashion blogging or the stress of maintaining a blog. You must continually pray for God’s guidance in your blogging endeavors and trust that He will help your blog blossom into a space that is glorifying unto Him.

I would love to hear the challenges you face in your profession….

Thank you for reading and  do Have a blessed day!

On commercializing your blog I’ll quote a verse Luke 10:7a when Jesus was sending the seventy two “stay in the house, eating and drinking whatever they give you,for the worker deserves his wages”
